rose-themed outfit.
Today was a perfect day to wear lolita in Georgia! Cold, no sun, and best of all...low humidity! For this outfit, I decided to go with my Souffle Song dress (sans blouse) as the main piece. Then I added a gothy vintage cameo necklace, a velvet accented ruffled sweater, my net underskirt, and some strappy button mary janes.
To finish it all off, I topped it with my dot mesh top hat and a rose brooch/hair clip. Some back story on the brooch/clip: This item was actually reworked a total of three times. The first incarnation was a pin-up inspired hair clip. Next, I added the velvet ribbons and added a different clip attachment. The last and most recent transformation is this one. I added some black rosebuds to balance the shape out and a watch charm so I can wear it with bronze-accented/wonderland-type outfits. I may or may not add other things, but for now, I'm happy with how it looks. Yay for rose brooches/clips!
