a pirate's life for me.
So, a couple of months ago, I thriifted an awesome musketeer costume hat. The moment I saw it, I knew its destiny was to become more grander and more awesome...It was meant to be a tricorn hat! Fast forward to now, and I'm finally starting to work on it. I've added some ruffles along the edge, some braiding, and decorated it with roses and such. I need to add some billowy feathers, some more brads, and it'll be done. This'll be part of a pirate-themed coordinate. :D
Detail of the cockade! Made entirely from scratch and partly hand sewn. I really love how this turned out! The velvet ribbon in the center is a little crooked, but overall, I think it's really nice! Definitely has that gothic feel to it which is exactly what I was going for. Can't wait to finish this and the matching dress!!
