Tomorrow brings great news and great joy. It is my first day of
work at my first taxpaying job, sounds crazy to be happy about paying
taxes but basically I would call this my first ever real job. All
previous paid experience has been "under-the-counter" work, so to speak.
The best part is that my job is doing something I have a passion for,
fixing computers. As strange as it may sound I started working
with computers around five or six years old, by ten I had built my
first computer, by thirteen I learned about networks, by 16 I was in
charge of all of the computers at my school. I guess you could
say that computers and I go way back, though granted computers
(particularly PC's) have been around much longer than I have been.
Dinner at Wesley tonight was good. In the middle of it I got a
call from Lauren who was on her way there from her English class.
I hopped on my bike and got to her about half-way there so that I could
lend her my wind jacket as it was cold and windy outside and she only
had her light sweatshirt. She was most delighted and that
smile... well, that smile makes my day everytime.
We didn't go to NAVs tonight as we both needed to go to Walmart.
Dan was so gracious as to take us with us barely even asking, truly
considerate of him. Sadly Walmart has still not restocked on the
waffle irons, if this continues I shall have to resort to finding a
ride to an alternate Walmart. Lauren picked up some groceries and
I picked up some khaki pants, I didn't have any good ones.
Alright, I should get to sleep soon as I have work early in the
morning. Goodnight to all, I pray the Lord bestow peaceful sleep
on you all.
