Re-recording a song for a video game before the record/single is even released? Oh, okay.

Not sure where you got that from. It's slated to be released in a game in late October. Presumably, we'll be hearing a single from them this month if everything we've heard so far checks out. I doubt VERY much they'd ever release music on a game first.

I wasn't saying it in a way to imply that we would hear it on the game before we heard the single. I'm saying it's funny that they re-recorded a song for the game considering they haven't even given us any news what so ever on the album or even a solid release date for a single. These people heard the song in similish before they even started promoting the actual song.

Ohhhhhhkay. I don't really get why this is an issue but fair enough? We'll hear the song, I would guess soon and before it's in a game and why wouldn't they record it now or a month ago or whatever? And get it out of the way? I mean I understand feeling a little possessive of the music but in the end, we'll all get to hear it.

I'm not being possessive about the song. I just think it's weird that they re-recorded and allowed people to hear a song/single from an album that doesn't even have a title or release date (to the knowledge of the public or the press as far as I am seeing), before the actual single hits the airwaves. The game has an official release date before the album does. Obviously, if things go according to plan, maybe this means we will be hearing such news soon, but I find the fact they heard it this way before major radio stations, magazines and such get their hands on actual material is strange. Does that make any sense? I don't know. Anyway. Moving on.

No it doesn't. I'm assuming Warner knows what they're doing.

Of course they do. They are getting paid. But that is besides the point. I just think it's weird. You don't. Whatever.

Logic would seemingly dictate we'd hear it before then as this is not even the song, it's a funny version of it and it comes out 2 months from now.
