Jamie shows up adorned in blue and gold with this matching mask "Skye, darling. This is fabulous. Everything looks... holy shit. I've never been to a party this facet before."
So many potential reasons why he's not going to be the last one standing tonight but he goes with the easiest which is currently the most pressing, anyway.
"Robert turned up at work today, he's supposed to be in London, but here he is, he's run away from home, it seems, right into the arms of his mid life crisis. And as such his mid life crisis should probably pay the man a little attention until he comes to his senses and goes back to his wife and his job and, you kniw, his life."
"I was kidding, being flippant." Is there anything worse than having to explain your humour? "Robert is fine. A big baby hiding from his life and his wife and sulking I went out without him but, well, I was hardly going to let the bastard come."
"....Oh. I'm sorry. I thought he was going through a hard time. I never know these days." He gives a small smile. "Well it was extremely cool of you to show up at all. Skye will be thrilled, I'm sure."

Later in the evening Gabe arrives and spotting Jamie he grabs a drink and goes over to say hello.
"How's it going, Jamie?"
