Announcement: Hosting, Changes
At the beginning of August, hiroyuki is letting Fated.nu expire.
This leaves Paper Cranes and all its sites in limbo. There are a couple of directions in which I could go at the time being:
1. Let the collective expire. My interest in shrine-making has waxed and waned over the years, and I've been flirting with the idea of letting it all go. In the last few years I've really only had the energy to maintain the sites I already own, and I've let quite a few go. The problem is, I'm too attached to the few that remain to let them completely die.
2. Find another host. Lore has offered to host me on her new domain, or I could try to find someone else. As great of a host as she is, it's frustrating not having total control over things like this. Money's really tight right now, so buying my own domain+hosting isn't really an option. Besides, I'm not sure I'd be active enough to justify the cost.
3. Archive everything on my Fateback account. I hate the limitations of free hosts and ads.
I'm going to try to make a firm decision by July to allow enough time for link changes, etc. Your input, as always, is welcome.
