What a pleasure to have a number of off-worlders under my employ. Really.
My name is Vergil DeCleric; I'm the Director of the floor here at the Starscape Casino & Hotel Resort. You are my Yes Men. I tell you to do something, you tell me, "Yes." and you do it. It's as simple as that. You've all been placed in positions adequate to the talents you've presented to me, so I expect nothing shy of perfection out of what you do.
My office is located just above the main lobby, off the left stairwell. I am on-call 24/7, but for the sake of your well-being, try to catch me during the hours of 3PM-3AM, unless it's legitimately important, or I will hurt you be very unamused.
Be sure to read your employee handbooks before starting your jobs. Comment here with questions and tokens of worship
And he's only 19-years-old. >[
So, as the above says, he's already placed your characters based off of how they presented themselves and with what. All positions answer to him, regardless of whether he knows the position or not (and believe me, that will leave for much lulz; "FIX THE ANIMAL" "THE SEAL ISN'T A CLOCK, VERGIL" "I DON'T CARE").
So, to give you a rundown of sorts of things in the casino to help you decide what your character is doing:
---- There are four different public retaurants and bars that cater between the hours of 5 PM to 1 AM, all of varying themes I haven't thought about yet, so you can decide. Obviously, this means waiters/waitresses, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, etc for restaurants. The restaurant uniforms are UNISEX, and involve black pants, dark red cumberbunds for the waiters, blue for the hosts, black for everyone else, and white shirts. The bartenders wear solid black outfits of whatever cut, so long as it's not too revealing.
-- There are a couple of exclusive bars, but Vergil hasn't placed anyone there YET. Just you wait, though.
---- The zoo, amusement park, mini-mall all obviously need various attendants, as does the newly opened main pool. There's also an infirmary that's stationed above the double stairs of the main lobby (see below for description) that needs no less than three medical personnel manning it at all times. Big Place is Big, and it's as busy as any other place. It's not uncommon to have to treat actual hotel staff from injury from angry patrons. But if this happens, make sure Vergil knows. He's the only one who can abuse his staff. >[
---- Hotel security dresses pretty much the same, with only their shirt colors to define them (watch me redo what colors mean what, Kat):
The outfit: A black pants suit and blazer, usually concealing weapons that legally the Starscape has no right to have, so only the more tenured and trusted are carrying. And a bold colored shirt denoting station:
Red: Casino
Purple: Hotel
Blue: Vergil's personal line-up
White: Resort (zoo, park, pool, mall, etc)
Black: "You can't go here" ones; they block passage to the basement levels
---- The main hall when you first enter is large, with columns and golds and whites and marble, and a series of massive chandeliers that extend up the expansion of several floors open to the main hall by balconies. Go right, you go to the resort. Left, the casino. Straight ahead is the massive desk for checking in to the hotel. It's surrounded by two crescent stairs leading to a series of elevators, a small door with a keycard access (Vergil's door) and the infirmary.
-- The people manning here are either in pants for the men, and skirts for the women, in dark blue. They have white, long-sleeved shirts and ties matching their skirts/pants. In the wintertime, they're allowed matching blazers. These poor people deal with Vergil more than anyone, and cycle through often because they can't take it.
Otherwise, you have the regular stuff you'd associate with this sort of thing. If you have questions or suggestions, let me know! My brain, she has died.
