An excerpt from Stephen Hawking's lastest book:
"Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist."
Dear Mr. Hawking,
I'm going to assume you are so smart that you've just something so profound it went over my head. But in the future, would you write more for the dumbed down masses or elaborate on what you are trying to convey? To a dumbed down person like myself...it sounded like you said God doesn't exist because gravity exists. I don't follow. Also...spontaneous generation was the first thing we learned in bio as being a false theory. Something does not come from nothing. Now you are telling me otherwise.

P.S. Please keep explaining how the universe works, it's cool...but be aware that you can't reason away faith (that's why it's called 'faith').
