Wait, I'm supposed to like the Cremaster movies, right? Because they're supposed to be an artistic triumph?
I hate them. They suck. They are the most boring fucking things I've ever seen, and I can't figure out why anybody has ever reccomended them other than some supposed cultural elitist cache that goes along with admiring them.
They really, really suck. They're terrible. I even got stoned this time before watching them and they were awful. That god damned goat man!
And I don't feel any shame about hating them, either, got that? This isn't like the embarassment I feel at not really liking Taxi Driver all that much, and moreover not being sure why I seem to be the only person who holds that particular opinion. This is just seething anger at the cineaste world that seems to believe Matthew Barney is some sort of wunderkind. He isn't.
He's just bad. And he impregnated Bjork. Which actually isn't half bad.
