Paxil is really crazy, man. I've been taking it for 2 weeks now, with a break for 2 days last week when my bag (along with my Paxil) was trapped at the Met Life building after the blackout.
Feeling fine today, and I took a lowered dose last night. Is this all normal?

Are you on the 20mg? Also, there is an extended release that has been out for a while......
You should always consult your doctor before chaging your dose of medication. When you have time I'd leave a message at the doctor's office; it is important to have good communication between you and the doctor's office---better for you in the long run.

My Dad's an Emergency room physician off in rural butt-fuck, Wisconsin, and he hooked me up with some phone-chats with the psychiatrist at his office after I started having panic attacks. The psychiatrist reccomended Paxil, wrote out a prescription, and my father mailed it out to me along with some wonderful lorazapam.
I've been taking 20 mg; I just figured on taking 10 mg last night because of being crazy. I'll go back to the 20 presently.
How was YOUR last night? (just read yr post). Sounds fun...

Back then, most of those medications took around a month or two to kick in, and the side-effects lasted for almost 3-4 weeks. Granted, that was *quite* some time ago.
I'm really very pleased with the advances we've made since then, what with fewer side effects, faster reaction time, and better understanding of exactly what it is our drugs *do*.
