bury me in sorrow
got back from my carribean vacation less than 2 hours ago. The cruise and vacation all together could have been so much better. like, amplified by 10. But i won't go into the reasons that it only passed for adequate. i tanned my upper body which had been severely lacking color. unfortunately though, i gained prolly 10 pounds from all the buffet madness and free pizza. so now i can't show off my newly somewhat tanned upper bod. gimme a week and a half to get it back down. the boat was rad. i drank A LOT at most of the 22 bars on board. i think there was 22, maybe more. ate good good food. and went to the most amazing beaches i have ever seen. like straight out of the corona commercials where you see the beautiful beach in the background with a bucket of coronas on the sand. the water was way warmer than any of our water will ever get. you could see your feet through the water when it was up to your neck, it was way clear. and the sand was much finer and felt bette under your feet. it really was like paradise. we took off from miami, hit up san juan, then st. maarten, st. thomas, then finally nassau and its accompanying paradise island. the beach on paradise island was unbelieveable. id like to do it again soon but without the parents. it would be so much better that way.
the plane ride on the way back was the worst ive ever had. it was like mad turbulence for 2/3 of the flight. and at one point it got beyond bumpy and everyone looked scared and the captain comes on over the intercom and says very speedily and in a nervous tone "everyone get to your seats right now". ok, no other flight that ive been on has a captain or flight attendant ever used the words "right now" when telling the entire passenger list to sit down. and they've definately never said it in such a manner that was rushed and sounded frightened. i was almost sure i wouldn't make it to the ground alive. but i made it and im glad, i know it could have easily been much worse. oi.
i have to go shower and shave and im tired as hell and i have to wake up at 2:45am for work in the morning. gah goi!
