How philanthropic of you, Peter. I can only hope you succeed in this, whatever it is that you're doing.

In the meantime, I have a crystal punch bowl to buy, so I'm going shopping. Perhaps with Claire, if she would like to invite me.

Thanks, mom. You were always more supportive of stuff like this than dad. Although from what people have said it looks like pretty much everyone has a place to be.

Well, a mother's job is to support, even when she thinks her children are making terrible, stupidly selfless decisions like becoming hospice nurses when they are clearly intelligent and motivated enough to be executives or congressmen.

Well, maybe that mother's son saw how hard she worked selflessly supporting everyone and thought the world could use a few more people like that?

I wish Nathan and the kids were here. It's a lot more fun with them around.

Nonsense, I would never have expected that kind of treatment.

I have been missing Nathan lately, he always enjoyed Christmas, if not the parties. And the boys are always so well-behaved.

I think I was just waiting until something... different came along. And now I am different and I don't know what to do with it. I thought having powers would make it easier, but it feels like the opposite.

At least Claire is here this year. I guess she's the baby of the family here.
