It's been a very long time since I've posted any pics of my work.
"Believe" by Calico Crossroads. Stitched on 14 count white Aida. Finished size 5" x 7". I think this is my favorite of the series so far. I only have "Dream" left to do.
"Love" by Calico Crossroads. Stitched on 14 count white Aida. Finished size 5" x 7". This pic is washed out :( You can't really see my pretty silver Kreinik thread :(
"Wish" by Calico Crossroads. Also stitched on 14 count white Aida. Finished size is 5" x 7". I still have "Dream" to complete. I am working on some frames for the 4 of these now. I will post pics once I frame them. They are going to go in my boyfriend's daughters room. She saw them on my screen one day and begged me to make them for her. She is gone to church camp in TN this week... so I hope to have them finished and hanging in her room before she comes back :)
Here's a freebie Chili Pepper pattern from DMC's website. I stitched it on a 14 count white huck towel from CharlesCraft. I also have a pot holder I want to stitch this design on. It uses 2 Antique Effects flosses, 3 Jewel Effects flosses, 1 Pearlescent Effect flosses, and 2 regular flosses. It was a pretty expensive little project... the specialty threads were all like $1.25 a piece. I guess it's not that expensive, but expensive enough for being so small! The towel is hanging in my kitchen. (My kitchen is done in chili peppers.)
Here is a little hardanger heart sachet. It is stitched on 28 count pink Lugana (I think). I can't remember who it is by. I completed the stitching about 6 months ago, but have not turned it into a sachet, yet. It was my first hardanger project. Don't look at my cut threads! I did not have hardanger scissors at the time. =/
"Take a Bath" by Calico Crossroads. Stitched on 14 count white Aida. Finished size is 5" x 7". I stitched this in May, but never posted a pic. It was stitched completely in the car on the way to Upstate NY and back. Whew. What a long drive! I am working on the frame for this now... It is going to be a gift to my cousin for her bathroom. She is doing her bathroom in rubber duckies. I should have stitched "Just Duckin' Around" on the bottom instead of "Take a Bath". lol, but I am not taking it out now! I will post another pic once I frame it.
