[ Or ... not. Because Faith's just kind of strolling in like the pain in the ass she is. Of course, having had the kind of week she's been having, there's more cranky to go around and a need for more beer. ]

Yo, Stills! Neil?

[ Which she left in Stephen's fridge. Oh, and she'll also say she's checking up on Stephen. ]

You try tell a guy you're on sometimes-bodyguard duty and he goes running off under full moons and looking for trouble. [ Swig. ]

[It takes a moment before the wolf becomes fully aware of everything around him. He remembers pain - howling at the moon as his body changed form. He remembers lying in a heap on the floor panting, his fur on edge. He remembers pacing the room, trying to find an exit. And he remembers hunger. Has he ever been this hungry before? He can't remember. He hears strange new noises. A door opening and shutting. The click and snap of a beer can. The shuffle of feet. And then that smell... wafting under the door. Without even thinking about it, he scrambles up onto his hind legs and presses against the closed door, which swings open.

Hi Faith! There is a rather large and nasty-looking wolf snarling at you from Stephen's bedroom doorway.]

[ The scratching draws her attention, and Faith turns around as she takes another sip from the bottle. The split second decision time as the door flies open leaves her confused because hello, last she checked, Stephen didn't own a dog. Also, she's not really interested in wasting this perfectly good beer.

So Faith lets out something of a surprised bark of her own before backing up toward the counter. Okay, beer's safe. Moving on. ]

Nice pooch. That's a good boy, you want, uh... [ Blindly grabbing at-- ] ...a bowl of rice?

[ Fucking Stephen and his fucking bird food. ]

[The wolf keeps inching forward, growling. The creature is making some sort of noises, which is not distracting from how good it smells. And he's got it cornered... just one leap forward and it'll be dinner time.]

Yeah, I'm not about it either but uh, if that's the way you wanna play it.

[ Her hand, gripping the bowl, swings forward with a decent amount of force (mitigated only by the fact that she's been beat up pretty badly this week) to chuck the bowl of rice at the dog. ]

Fetch!

[ And with that, she's booking to the side, trying to jump over or throw whatever gets in her way. ]

[Whatever the nice-smelling creature through at him, he doesn't like it. It's gotten in his nose and all over his face. He swipes a hand across his snout and sneezes a few times, trying to get the not-as-nice smell out of his nose. When he looks up again, the creature is gone. He lets out another long howl and takes off in the direction of her sent, his tongue hanging out in anticipation.]

[ She made it to the living room, on her way to the exit. Faith's not about to leave the apartment with a surprise for Stephen and Neil to come back to, so she's got to do something about it. ]

Quit the howling, dude. It's creepy...c'mon. Outside is this way.

[ She walks backward, making sure he's in her sight as she moves around the apartment toward the door. Faith pulls at an extension cord as she goes. Look, maybe she'll need a leash, okay? ]

[There is it, in his view at last. He crouches on his hind legs for a moment before pouncing...]

[ Faith rolls with the animal, shoving her hands out to try to defend her face, and protect the still-raw wound in her neck. She's healed up more than a normal person would be, but she's still gone through some serious fights this week, and when she hits the ground, pain blooms through her back. ]

[The wolf aims a few good snaps at the place where that delicious smell is coming from, but something keeps getting in his way. He pulls back again, crouching across from her, his ears pressed flat to his head and growling.]

[ Ow. Ow. OW, dude. That's her arm, thank you very much. Now that it's on its way to fully shredded, Faith shoves it forward to try to get a grip on-- something. Not ears, apparently, since they're pinned down. She'll go for neck, if those teeth don't get in her way. ]

[Ouch! There's grabbing! Grabbing is happening! This isn't going as planned at all. He'd really hoped to be eating dinner by now, but this creature is far too clever by half. He snarls, trying to twist out of its grasp.]

[ She doesn't really think to throw any punches, at least. Since it's trying to get away, Faith's happy to give it a shove and try to crab walk backward toward the door. ]

[Finally free, the wolf takes a few steps back. He's still snarling, but he's taking his time now. He fixes her with a glare as he sized her up, trying to figure out the best place to strike. Faith may notice that eyes now locked with hers are a particularly non-canine and human-looking pair.]

[ What she notices is that he's staring at her. And it's creepy. ]

Think I preferred the howling.

[ Oh, right. The evacuation attempt. ]

Okay, look. There's the door. You can just...go. And stop staring at me with those...freaky eyes.

[His eyes dart between hers and the exit for a moment, before finally settling on hers he gives one last growl and lunges...

towards the door. He turns and gives a few menacing barks at Faith, daring her to follow him. Then with a swish of his tail, he's gone.]
