[Curt opens the door and steps back, grinning. In his excitement over having a girl drummer--just like the Velvet Underground--he didn't really notice Stephen having anything on his mind yesterday.]
[Having Kim in the studio was a nice distraction. Okay, more than a distraction. It was fucking awesome. But he just knows if he puts this off any longer it's going to become a thing and well... he'd rather not have things hanging around them. Especially considering how well things have been going until now. In the mean time, though... he holds up a paper bag he'd stuffed with Styrofoam containers before leaving work.]
[Curt's not even sure what's on the table right now, but considering how messy he and Campbell are, odd are good it's something that doesn't really belong on the kitchen table.]
[He notices the tenseness. How can he not? He's been so fucking nervous about telling him all day now. He moves a little closer, hands still firmly in his pockets.]
I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I just didn't -
[Know where we stand? Think it was cheating if we've never talked about what exactly we're doing and what it might mean? Instead he goes for-]
[He's not even sure if he's asking "what happened?" or "what does it mean (for us)?" but if he can get away with leaving the burden of this conversation on Stephen, he will.]
[He runs over his face, buying himself a little time.]
Seeing him again, it brought a lot of stuff back. But... man, I really like you. And I like what we have and I really don't want to fuck everything up. Even though it's generally something I'm pretty good at.
[Actually, he's kind of smiling. He hadn't really thought anything about what might happen if Joseph showed up, but...well, Stephen pretty much chose him, right?]

Kim wasn't the only friend of mine from home who came for the weekend. Well, uh... Joseph was here.

[As if he needed clarification and if that was somehow a helpful was to ask. Curt's tone is mostly neutral, but his whole body tenses up a little.]

But we kissed. A few times.

So just thought you should... know.
[Way to wrap that one up nicely, Stills.]

[He thinks about this for a moment.]
I'm not mad or anything.

[Curt's smiling. Smiling is good. He saunters a little closer until he joins Curt at the kitchen table.]

[He turns to stick shove several comic books and guitar picks into the odds and ends draw (well, one of them.]
So I guess this means this thing we have is definitely a thing?

[Fuck, that's a cop-out answer. Try it again with a spine this time.]
'Cause I would. Like that a lot.
[Your apartment is way too warm, Curt. That's the only reason why he's flushing so much right now.]
