I love how God changes things.
Seriously.
I was thinking about how sad it would be when my boy leaves [four days to go]
and God was like "why are you thinking of how sad it will be when he goes when you know its going to be a thousand times better when he comes back"
and then i started thinking about how great it will be to see him again after so many months and you know what
im excited.
i mean
sure
it'll suck when he leaves
but what does that matter when i know that in the end
i'll get to see him again.
gosh, it makes my little heart so happy.
regardless, we've been arguing a bit lately
over silly things
but i figured out why
its exactly what happened last time he went away
i think we're both just kind of anxious and stressed out at the moment
but such is life
and it gets better.
despite all that
things are going great
and god is fantastical.
and the word on friday night was utterly amazing.
powerhouse is getting better and better and thats ever so exciting.
Mike G spoke about walking before you starting talking because the power of the talk is all bound up in how you walk
and he asked how we can seriously look at the cross of jesus and just go on living normally.
Honestly, how can we? what he did is so amazing and so indescribable, as if there's any way we can just keep quiet about it!
Also, he made the most incredible point about the story in judges where one of the guys is holding a trumpet in one hand and an earthen vessel with a light in the other, and he drops the vessel and it breaks, but the light comes out. The thing thats important is not the earthen vessel but the light thats inside. In order for that light to come out, SOMETHING HAS TO BREAK!
Even more so, its not the people or the situation or even Jesus that will change you but your faith, the thing inside you. [example of the woman who was bleeding for twelve years and she touched jesus' robe and he said "your faith has made you well" not his power, her faith.]
Most importantly, the very thing that Mary was looking for, the Messiah, the Chosen One, came from within her. Whatever WE are searching for will come from within us, but it won't look like what we expect it to look like.

YOU CAN LOOK FOR AN ANSWER IN ANYTHING, BUT YOU WILL FIND IT IN JESUS.

[if you can't shout in the house of God, you'll never whisper in the ear of a sinner]
its time to get loud.
