Why I love my Mom:

so I get home yesterday - a get a cold glass of wine and start watering the back garden-
by the time I'm done watering , my wine is a bit warm and I think I should go and get some ice cubes - then I think I should put some ice cubes in that half empty glass of ice tea I left on the counter in the morning - then I start wondering if most people would think that's disgusting - drinking something that's been on the counter all day - so I wonder if many people leave glasses of stuff hanging around and that makes me think of the movie (Signs) where the little girl did exactly that and it turned out to be quite helpful in fighting the aliens that invaded, because throwing water on them burned their skin - now this of course, made me ponder the intelligence of an alien race that would land on a planet that was 75% water - kind of stupid - then I wondered if the aliens just reacted to fresh water, not salt water, which made me wonder what percentage of the earth was fresh water and then I got curious and wondered what percentage the biggest fresh water lake would be - so I asked your dad:  What's the biggest fresh water lake? - and he didn't know , but thought it was in Russia somewhere - so now:
The largest lake by volume: Lake Baikal in Siberia
and Only three percent of the water on Earth is freshwater, and about two-thirds of this is frozen in glaciers and polar ice caps. Most of the rest is underground and only 0.3 percent is surface water.[citation needed] Freshwater lakes, most notably Lake Baikal in Russia and the Great Lakes in North America, contain seven-eighths of this fresh surface water.
