954: I bloody well hope it snows this winter

Nov 12, 2007 16:45

It is SO cold outside. The last few weeks have been so bitterly chilly, I just pray that we actually get some snow this Christmas so I can pretend to frolic! I'm fairly tired... well, not tired, but in a semi-napping state, but really I'm just killing time doing things like updating my journal instead of getting on with work. Sounds like a plan to me!

Me and wormlover completed the entire Prequel Trilogy of Lego Star Wars yesterday - took us eight hours, because we also did a lot of other stuff, such as about 30 gold bricks, a lot of car driving (and beeping horns! They have bloomin' beeping horns now!) and then of course... theres the final level of Episode Three which took us about fifty attempts... too much jumping and then drowning in lava! Still, it has made me want to watch some Star Wars, so it's done its job. Unfortunately, I don't have the DVDs, so that won't be happening, but heck, a guy can dream, a guy can dream... I'll watch some Long Way Round instead, for some Ewan-y goodness.

My (on loan) Freeview Box continues to confuse me - it seems during the day, I can actually receive channels like ITV1, Channel 4, E4... during the night, they're gone and out of those three and others, I'm left with E4+1! Ne'er mind, I still get to watch some "quality" programming. Although it usually means I stay up an hour later than I would otherwise have to... gerr.

Essay took a nice big jump over the past couple of days: it was lieing at around three to four hundred for the past week or so, then yesterday jumped to about 1000, and today jumped to about 1500. Of course, I'm still out of ideas of what to write, but I plan to continue waffing for another 500 words. Or 300, if I'm feeling cheeky enough to pass 1800 words as 2000. Muahaha!

I was considering going down to Sainsbury's and getting some grub for the rest of the week, before my inevitable return to Chesterfield this weekend for my papa's sixtieth, but then I got bored and remembered how cold it is outside. Hopefully I don't run out of food, but I'll go on Wednesday just to make sure I have food for Wed, Thur and Fri. Sounds like a plan to me!
