Leave it til later

Today's post is brought to you by the letter R. R for rushed, since I'm being oppressively forced by mischa_craven to write a post. (apparently, I wasnt! :P)

I seem to be in a habit of leaving things too late as of recently. But, fortunately, I managed to get through a fair amount of work today, which is a good deal of weight of my back at last. It was pointed out to me the stupidity of my last post - wherein I updated my weblog just to say that I would update later. Whoops. But here it is - the promised post. Anyway, Saturday was a bit hickledy-pickledy. I went to bed at about 1am after staying up talking on The Internets, but didn't get to sleep until about 2:30... mainly because of dyssomnia, so I decided I'd start reading HHGTG yet again. I woke up at 6:35, for some bizarre reason (damn dyssomnia! and damn my body for thinking it was a weekday!) but somehow managed to coax myself back into a sleepy stupor for another couple of hours. I headed out at 10:30, hoping to quickly drop into Chesi and get a haircut before I moved on. But the queue was so long, I decided I'd come back in 10 minutes after looking through the Saturday Market. When I came back, the queue wasn't any shorter (in fact, you could probably say it got longer) but I decided I'd wait. Unfortunately, I was waiting for 35 minutes, before I had to give up to go catch my bus over to Sheffi. Outside Orchard Square, there was a magician-cum-escape artist performing some rather dubiously strange acts. I met up with mischa_craven (the swiss cow, as she described herself! apparently because they have dingling bells... how bizarre) In all three (yes, three!!) stores I looked in, I couldn't find the damned CD I wanted, but I did manage to pick up some new headphones to replace the fairly new ones that I nibbled on and broke. mischa_craven dragged me into a fair few stores too, and... it's fair to say I was sort of in the minority in most of them. We managed to get almost all of the stuff she needed off her list, so we went to the Peace Gardens for some time, and discussed amongst other things the absurdity of pigeon's having red eyes - Listen, I didn't know, alright?! I never realised all pigeon's had red eyes.. I was shocked when I saw it. We were later "assaulted" by several charity people, one who even wanted to steal Benedict!!! Anywho, we both headed home at 5:00... unfortunately, my bus didn't come until 6, and there were no seats, so I was standing for 60 minutes at the Interchange, and then when I finally got to Chesi, there was no bus for ages, and I just stepped on a random one. And that's pretty much where the events of the last post start coming into play.

Today was far more boring, and I can't really be arsed to even write about it. Basically, it involved me doing work. And not much else. Happy Days. But at least its done. And done is good. Phew. Oh yeah, as you can tell - I still don't have my paid account. Crap. And for what its worth, baron_josef deserves a mention, because he is the man.... erm... yeah. Oh, and for maidenite:It was only a quick flash before he started to feel the effects of whatever it was he just consumed. Bananas flashed in front of his eyes, and a talking cardboard tube asked him how he was, and commented on how fine the weather was today. Which was perculiar, because the weather was less than favourable. Suddenly, there was a tremendous, booming roar from whatever direction the yellow-and-pink cows were running. He turned to look, but too late.
