working is stupid
bleh. Putting in an actual eight hour day at work, which... uhh... I don't think I've ever done. At least not for money. I've put in 20 hour days for SXSW before, but that's about it (yes, two zero).
At least with this, unlike SXSW, I get paid.
I'm currently making a 20'x60' banner. It's fucking enormous and it has to be done by Friday. If I can do that, I get a bonus. Me likey bonuses.
My dad came over last night and we played with my new decks. It was fun! He gave me a cd with some beats on it, and I've been experimenting about with stuff and things. I have a feeling I'm going to need the software on my computer before i can do anything really neat; right now I'm just learning how to synchronize pitch and tempo. Sadly the pitch and tempo are on one slider as opposed to two different sliders, which would be most convenient for me. Plus, it doesn't go as fast or as slow as I would like.
Perhaps this is for the best for the sake of other people's hearing. if I had my way, I'd be playing NIN on chipmunk speed to a background of birds twittering as slowly as possible, compressed to sound like steam engines.
But alas, the universe does not see it fit for me to have such powers....
Anyways, back to work. Four more days and I won't have to work for a whole month!!!!
