painfully awkward

The guy that came over to look at the place was this painfully cute and nerdy college student with lots of freckles. He sort of stepped in, said "Ok, cool," and then we made some terribly awkard smalltalk for a while before I finally said, "Right then, so if you decide you want the place, let me know and then we'll talk about the rest of it."

Ugh, ouch.

I forget how awkward and shy I usually am around guys I don't know, especially when they're awkward and shy too, and I'm trying to sell them on something. This time it wasn't my sparkling personality, but my apartment. Which, honestly, is more important at this point- I've already got someone sold on my sparkling personality, and I'm not looking to sell it to anyone else.

If only because my version of flirting involves shy twitching and stuttering, struggling in vain to somehow disappear.

It's times like these where I thank my lucky stars that "dating" isn't an issue right now.

In any case, the guy is still looking at two other places, and said he'd get back to me.

So the apartment isn't leased yet. There's one other girl who was interested, and I emailed her immediately after the guy left, to tell her that the apartment was still up for grabs.

I'd like to get this thing leased by the end of the week, which is entirely possible. Now that I have the place clean, I can take some better pictures and post them in my next ad.

I'm just hoping that I can get a March move-in. I really don't want to have to live with my mom for a month and a half, as much as I may love her.

It's my own fault for listing February 1 as the move in date. I'm sthoopeed.

Right then. Time for a nap.
