interesting

I was somewhat shockingly sober at both parties tonight. It amazed me. I just... didn't want to drink.

It was good yaking people's ears off. I better understand why I have friends now :-P

My left foot inexplicably hurts in one particular spot. It does this from time to time, and makes walking really hard; in fact, my foot hurts most of the time now that I actually think about it, and that's why I don't go walking that much. Never really thought of it like that before. The boots make it ten timees worse of course, but I was wearing my tennis shoes tonight, which are generally pretty comfortable, albiet completely worn out (run-on sentences YAY!). Also, it's the foot with the ingrown toenail. Also, I'm not a hypochondriac, I swear.

But other than a gimp foot, I had a good night.
Stayed a total of five minutes at Leopalooza, and spent the bulk of my time at Leopardy, which was what I'd pretty much anticipated. It was good to see all the familiar faces, and some that i don't see that often. I do have good friends, and I'm going to make more of an effort to be around them more often. I'm excited about the feng shui class tomorrow/today, because then perhaps I can rearrange my home to where I can entertain more easily, and I have thoughts as to how to do that.

I presented my plan for a bed extention to Rusty, and he said it seemed very simple and doable. That's what I'd originally thought, but every time I try and tell someone about it they're like "Huh?" Which is understandable. It's hard to describe. The only way to describe it is a really basic frame made of 2x4's. One for the side of the bed, one for the end of the bed. And then put some thick, thick, thick foam padding on it (I have a few ideas as to how I can do this but I'm still unsure as to how comfortable any of that would be), staple fabric around it, and voila. Even better is I can remove them and put them against the wall for extra seating for when I have guests over, as opposed to just having one couch and one chair.

I'm starting to get better ideas as to how to seperate my apartment so it doesn't feel like one giant room. The only issue I have is the "bedroom" is going to be by the kitchen, for a couple of reasons. one, because it's a little smaller of an area than the other half (front door placing kinda decides this), and also because I don't want to keep knocking up against the wall that's next to the neighbor.

But yeah, so I'm getting ideas, I'm writing them down, I need to start drawing stuff, and then I need to start taking measurements. This class should help a lot I think.

It's hard when you've only got a studio. There ain't a hell of a lot you can do with that.

oy.
