Apparently when my grandmother goes out for lunch and doesn't bring my grandfather, it's my responsibility to cook dinner. Now, I don't have a problem with this in principle. But the thing is that she expects me to somehow know that she's gone out for lunch without papa even though nobody tells me. It's a strange thing trying to read minds. It... well... DOESN'T WORK. Yesterday she had told me she was going to go shopping today. So I knew that she'd gone out. But what I didn't know was that she actually went out to lunch with her painting buddies. Luckily for me I asked her how the shopping had gone and she happened to mention she had lunch and wasn't cooking. Unfortunately I'm really waiting for my dad's call to pick me up. But for some reason nobody else in the house (papa or my uncle) can get off their asses and cook.

Fine with me. I just half assed a turkey loaf that is probably going to be waaaaaay better than my grandmother's regular 'ole meat loaf. Of course I used salty bread crumbs, which I usually don't do, but I had very little time to plan. I cooked two onions, two carrots, two stalks of celery, and six or so cloves of garlic until they were soft. I added some celery seed, ground thyme, and dill weed and let the mix cool down. Then I put the ground turkey in with the bread crumbs. It didn't seem moist enough so I threw in some milk and no salt catchup and an egg. I mixed it all up, stuck it in a pan, topped it with more catchup, and stuck it in the oven. We'll see how my strange mix comes out.

The point is... I'M NOT A MIND READER!!!
