(no subject)
I don't think I'm getting the call for a second interview for the YMCA job. Their loss, I guess 'cause I would have done an amazing job for them. Like they don't even know.
Tomorrow I'm gonna interview with Kelly Services (yay?) for a job where I sit on my butt and scan stuff all evening. It doesn't sound very exciting, but Travis works there and seeing him more definately would be teh awesome. They want a copy of my high school diploma. Do people actually have that kind of thing hanging around to bring to an employer at any time? I did not realize.
Thursday I have an interview with Charles River Laboratories. I didn't know what it was when I applied, but it says this one the front page of the website:
Charles River Laboratories provides research models and laboratory animal support services, preclinical services, and clinical services to the biomedical market. We are focused on improving human and animal health by becoming the premier global company advancing the search for drugs from discovery through market approval.
Does that mean they do/support animal testing? As far as medical testing, I don't think I have a strong opinion on that. It does give me pause though. I applied at a drug company once that asked me if I had a problem with animal testing. I think it makes me a little uncomfortable, but not enough not to take a job in their HR department. It's some kind of medical company though and I would bet that they'll have a problem with my fatness. I'm going to have to go in there and be extra-amazing-confident to make an impression on them. I know I can do that though. So. ONWARD!!
