She knows not what he is doing with his, but it is painfully clear that he does not choose to give it to her. Some he gives to others, plenty he keeps for himself. He affords enough to maintain his banal hobbies, yet he spares not a scrap more than altogether necessary for sustenance of this asset that requires a certain amount of nurture. He is unpredictable in his allocation. At times, the deprivation forces her to seek elsewhere. Then a nibble here, a slice there, but yet never enough to satiate. Gorge she will not, though, nor deplete his supply; this she can promise. All she requires is enough to make her feel nourished. For the lack, he makes excuses. He does not possess much of it, he claims. This she knows to be untrue. She knows him to possess as much as she does, if not more. What causes him to be so uncharitable, she hasn't a clue. Is it something in her - a negative? Perchance he is fearful; likely he is merely selfish. Selfishness is trait she understands and exhibits in herself, yet she knows not to let it impede her pursuit for a deeper satisfaction. At times like this, her generosity stuns even her. She finds more and more for him to take. But, in not giving, he is not taking, and she is left with excess of something for which she has no use.
