Veronica Mars: Revisited
So...at the job which makes me want to drink, I decided that, rather than sit through the 800th viewing of the 12 movies our unit has (I work with 9 girls ages 12-18 in residential placement), I'd start bringing in tv on dvd. And so I brought in "Veronica Mars". We just finished the 1st season and are now on Season 2. And that brought me to some fandom revelations...
While this show was always on my top 5 list, I realized just how much I love watching this show with a group of people who have never seen it before. Their surprise and then love of Veronica/Logan, their crushes on Wallace, and then the way they lost their shit when they finally saw that it was Aaron who killed Lilly...it was so cool to watch!
They've only just seen "Normal is the Watchword" and already they're pleading for extra movie time to watch it. I can't wait to see their faces when they see it was Beaver who was behind everything.
And that also reminded me why Season 3 sucked so bad. There was no shocking reveal, not really. The closest they got was with Weevil and the credit card fraud. But there was no Aaron, no Beaver...there was absolutely no investment in the crimes or the criminals.
Which of course brought me to fic. I've been wrestling with the final parts of "Letters to my Niece" for months now and am officiall stalled. However, during an extra night shift last night, I managed to churn out more pages of a VM fic than any "Heroes" fic.
So, flist o' mine, be on the lookout for "Neptune is for (Secret) Lovers," a sequel to "The Best (and Only) Kept Secret in Neptune"! The first part should be posted incredibly soon.
