So this week has started quieter the normal. Given how busy my last couple of weeks had been, thats fine by me. It's been nice to have a few nights here at the apartment. It's allowed me to get some shit done and caught up on my sleep. But that ends starting tomorrow as the rest of my week kicks into high gear once again. I was suppose to have Whiskey Six practice last night but I had to cancel. See I'm a dumb ass and left my gig on Saturday night without my cymbal bag full of all my cymbals. It's first time I have ever left gear at a gig and I hope it's the last. Thankfully Colin McMillian of the Prime Time Hero's grabbed it for me and tracked me down to tell me he had it. I owe him BIG TIME for this because without them it's pretty hard to play drums. Besides if I would have lost them, I wouldn't of been able to buy new ones because of how poor I currently am. So I hooked up with him earlier this evening for a few minutes to pick them up. He also told that Pipeline gave them an easy out for the Vendetta Red show on Friday and they took it. Things got pretty mixed up and they were gonna be playing after Ven Red which meant they would of played to absolutely no one. So this was a smart move to cancel on their part. He also told me that Friday, January 30'th would be their CD release party at the Bottlneck and they hope to have Ruskabank playing with them. If you ain't there then I can't help you.
So after getting my cymbals, tonight has been pretty mellow. Once I got back I talked to Miss Liz on the phone for a few minutes to let her know that I retreived my cymbals as she was as worried as I was about it. I also wanted to make sure she was doing ok. She had a VERY bad weekend that saw a lot of shit hit the fan involving some people that we both thought we knew better then we do. It really has me worried as I hate to see shit this bad happen to her. She is way to good of a person for bad things to keep happening to her like that. We spent over an hour last night on the phone talking about everything and will most likely be hanging out Friday night too. She is also gonna ride to KC with me for our bands big show on Saturday night at Benders which is gonna kick some major ass. I then drank a couple of the beers I had in the Fridge and watched the KU game on TV. While doing that I also finally finished cataloging my CD's on my comp. Took me a while to get it done, but I'm glad I did it. Now that the initial process is done, it'll be real easy to maintain. I have just under 400 CD's (till I go sell a few comps/promo CD's this weekend to get a Cheap Trick ticket for next Tuesday night). Next step is to get all my CDR's in some sort of order which is gonna be no small feat as I have at least 150 of them scattered all over the place. But that task is for another night.
