1. When I started shipping them: In 2008 I think?
2. What I think their challenge is: Lavi's a Bookman (in training), Kanda's a closed-up person who tries his best to ignore his feelings. Do I need to say more? 'Cause I could go on and on, lol.
3. What makes me happy about them: Their interractions in general! 8DD I just really really love seeing these two together, no matter the situation.
4. What makes me sad about them: Their interractions can make me sad, too. And... sniff... how big are the possibilities for a happy happy ending for these two? :<
5. What moment I wish had never happened: *Scratches head* Ihatethisquestion. Nothing, nothing at all.
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Kanda with Lenalee, Lavi with... well, no one, really, but Allen if I have to choose someone.
7. My happily ever after for them: Well... You know, I don't think there can be anything aside from a bittersweet ending for these two. Unless Lavi decides to screw the rules and take Kanda with him on his journeys as a Bookman but... One of the best endings I think they can have is one with no regrets, where they're okay with it and just... yeah. An ending with no regret, that's the happily ever after they is most likely to have, if they both live by then.

7. he might choose something other than being a bookman. i think he's realizing after current events that he's not cut out for it. :/

i was hearing rumours before about hoshino ending the series soon, but they might have been wrong, obviously lol

7. lol, it seems we're on completely different ideas here. I personally think he'll be perfectly fine. I think he's been processing a lot of things lately and he seems more at peace with... everything. I don't think he'll give up on being a Bookman. It must still be his dream. I don't think he's not cut out for it, just needs to work on it.

Meh, even if it is so, it's a monthly manga so in terms of such time it'll probably be a couple of more years at least.

2. SO LIKE I FORGOT ABOUT THIS FOR A LITTLE, but I shall say more now.

Okay, so first of all... Lavi's a Bookman-in-training. That's the huge thing here. Being a Bookman is Lavi's dream, and we all know what that means. Lavi is, however, quite the loving and passionate person, I think (even while I think he's pretty clueless about how to really deal with strong emotions) and thus that wouldn't be easy for him to do. STILL, despite that, it's his DREAM. He wouldn't give it up so easily, if at all, sorta depends on circumstances doesn't it? Getting together with anyone would surely throw his resolve into a very shaky uh... thing? ride? if he did ever get together with anyone. So I think he'd be afraid of doing it, even if, say, he'd be free to do so if he wished (like, what if Bookman dies, or turns out to be okay with it so long as Lavi can still leave it behind in the end).

Considering that, I do in all honesty think the one who's most likely to do a first move, if there is one (maybe it just sorta falls into place - I know someone who said she doesn't think there would be a first move, that it would just happen, and it could be like that too me'thinks), is Kanda. And so we move onto the closed-up, lonewolf, soldier, I-don't-have-feelings-I-swear-they-don't-exist-nope-no-way Kanda. While he's a very stubborn person and he would probably refuse to accept that he has any sort of such strong feelings for anyone, he IS, as I said, stubborn. So, if he would actually come to terms with such feelings, which is quite likely, even if it could take A WHILE, he's definitely stubborn enough to let Lavi at least know of his feelings (despite probably being a bit awkwaaaard and nervous about it). Of course, the first step is actually accepting the feelings... yeah.
