Confession of an Unfaithful Wife

Jun 29, 2009 14:43

The heat upon my skin does burn,
Every time I sneak out the door.
Jealousy and deceit, all lovers spurn.

Away from the cold, blind hate, I turn
To one who loves me evermore.
The heat upon my skin does burn.

Guilt and duty make my stomach churn.
We were never like this before.
Jealousy and deceit, all lovers spurn.

My foolish, fickle heart is torn.
Mine is not a story from old lore.
The heat upon my skin does burn.

But of true love, I did learn.
Suffering in silence, I will no more.
Jealousy and deceit, all lovers spurn.

When it is done, only one will mourn.
My lover's embrace I so adore.
The heat upon my skin does burn.
Jealousy and deceit, all lovers spurn.
