The city did not quiet down at night; if anything, it got louder.
Madara leaned against a wall in the entrance way of the White Magnolia, watching the people going by, the buildings built high into the skyline. Not even the many wonders of Amegakure could come close to what he saw here, even down on its luck as Toshima was. It was no more war-torn than any village in his world, and as yet far better off. He could surely learn many things here that would make his vision more appealing to others, even now.
A smirk curved the corners of his mouth upward. Perhaps establish more businesses such as the one he leaned on. The White Magnolia certainly seemed to do a brisk business, the oldest profession bringing in all manner of clients.
But that wasn't why he was here today. Dark eyes watched the passers-by for a distinct dark-haired head and pale face that he knew well. It was quite unfortunate that he'd have to start over with the boy, and Madara hated to think of all the wasted effort that had gone into Sasuke since he'd been inducted into Akatsuki after Itachi's death, but it was necessary.
Perhaps here, he could correct those few flaws he'd noted in his first round of this. Madara always sought for perfection, and perhaps now, he'd just been granted the chance to achieve it.
