Morning Tea

What: Kira offered to bring a welcoming present and Belle offered tea in return

Belle had woken in time to watch the sun rise over the grimy city of Toshima from the balcony of her newest voluntary prison. It was jarring, how different this place was to her own home. She missed everyone at the castle, Beast, her father, even the village that bored her to tears and while she doubted she would ever miss Gaston, if it meant going home she would have gladly tolerated his presence. She watched the sun creep over the tall gray buildings as she sipped some orange juice she had found in the cold box in her kitchen.
Once the sun had completely risen she headed back inside, dressing in her own clothes that she had washed in the tub and hung up to dry. She didn't have a scrub board, but for all that it had come out cleaner than she had hoped it would, the soap here must be better she concluded. It certainly smelled nicer. She began to dig through the cabinets in the kitchen, finding a box of something that claimed to be tea, though she had never seen it in little bags before. She was suddenly quite glad that she had given herself plenty of time to get things ready, for once in her life she felt stupid, there were so many things here she had no idea how to use. She had no doubt she would figure it out, but maybe she should have given herself some time before having company.
She had already eaten a breakfast with the juice she had found and if Kira had woken up at the same time she had then she expected he would have eaten already too. But if he was hungry then she could get him some food easily enough. She looked over at the clock, 8:55 it said and she sat down on the couch, nervously smoothing her skirt out and waiting for the knock on her door.
