Painting critique is Thursday. I'd say I'm not nervous... but I'd be lying. The first half of the critique was last Thursday, and while it went for four hours, I was impressed by both the quality of the works and of the criticisms offered. This time, they'll be seeing my work for the first time... and I'm not so confident in the painting that I'm not scared of what they'll say/think. I am confident in myself as a printmaker. I don't consider myself a painter, though, so it gets a bit messy there.

At any rate, this is the current state of the painting:



There are still some last-minute things I need to do, but at least the background doesn't suck anymore.

And here's what the rock garden looks like with the pieces cut out. I had to redo the pieces which will fit over the built-in rocks to give them dimension... anyway, you can start to see what it'll look like.
