So Eijun isn't my son-in-law yet (although it is looking like he will be more and more each day), but we finally located the Daiei scanlations that Cootie was talking about some time ago. They are
here. In the chapters they have up, you can meet Eijun's crazy roommates Kuramochi Youichi and Tooru Misuko (the former is the real nutjob and would probably get along well with the King of the Yoojehs), the recently demoted staff ace Tanba Kouichirou, and another of the individuals on our current roster, Furuya Satoru. Oh, and you can stare at Miyuki, too. You know you want to.
Also, Kurisu may be a done deal. Kazu-san got Eijun to ask him on the phone and he essentially gave us a verbal agreement, so that means we have at least one catcher to deal with the relievers now. ...Except we need relievers and maybe one more catcher. I suggested we also pick up Miyauchi Keisuke (another Seidou kid) to fill that other catcher spot, but there could be others that we could look into as well and I don't want to get too into that now. It's Kazu-san who gets to make the final decisions on these things because right now he's the player-manager. (He honestly just told me to scout catchers for him. He knows me, you know.)
Speaking of him, he's been a lot less stressed out over the past few days. I guess a little rest was all he really needed, but now he's just throwing himself into the scouting reports all confidently and is making more decisions. It's honestly really nice to see that he's recovering and he'll be the best player-manager in the world. I'm honestly so happy for him because I know he's wanted to player-manage for years (a.k.a. ever since he saw Furuta do it) and now he's finally getting the chance to do so. He's going to be amazing at it, just you wait and see.
(P.S. - New non-multitap Noah's Ark high score - 3771. Although that is not as scary as Yama-chan's 1162 on Jonah's Whale.)
