Today
1863_project went on a search for a hat. She had to resort to the internet after wasting gas and going to two different malls and three different Lids stores, but she got it. And when it comes in, she's going to tell the lady with the Tajima embroidery machine to put a big cursive 'D' on it. (She already has a Nishiura one, so I guess this was the next logical step. I almost wonder if she'll do the other schools or not, though.)
She also surprised me today by explaining that she has liked trains since she was a little kid - her dad got her into them. And she showed me the
Strasburg Railroad, which is this place where you can ride a train pulled by a real steam engine. She says we have to go sometime so she can show it to me. Her family apparently used to go every year or something, too.
...of course, this means we'd have to visit a model train layout across the street called the Choo Choo Barn. No, I'm probably not getting through that alive. At all.
(P.S. - Noggin, redeem yourself tonight. I went through a bout of temporary depression because of you yesterday.)
