My son's mother's great grandfather was a doctor in Prague and the only white person allowed in Boley after dark.

During a meeting of top soviet officials Stalin announced that he was going to deport all Soviet Jews to Birobidzhan because of a "Zionist and imperialist" plot against him and the Soviet Union (this was a few weeks after a supposed plot by Jewish doctors to kill top officials was uncovered}. After a brief silence several members adamently protested Which made ole Joe start yelling. Then he fell to the floor and died a few days later. The house committee on un-American activities published a book with a detailed account of the whole thing. The whole thing is horrible and yet funny.

Also Oklahoma's most anti-Semitic Governor, William H. Murray, he called Roosevelt's New Deal the Jew deal, gave a speech in Boley suggesting that the Federal government should buy up property in Southern states and make the territory a separate county then sell the land to blacks at no interest as long as a condition is put in the deed that prohibits the sale of them "to any person not of Negro blood." He wrote that when you "let a Negro accumulate a farm, or much of other property, and he will cast as good vote as anybody and obey the laws. No one can make a criminal of him, or a communist."
