it seems really great so far; now we just have to get everything moved in and situated, which is a pain in the ass, but once that's done, I think it'll be a really good place for us.
there's a garage apartment next to it that our landlord is renovating and getting ready to rent, if you ever get sick of normantown. I poked my head in the other day and it has truly awesome cabinets and truly terrible carpet.
So much more charming than anything in The Village. eh? I'm glad you found a place here in Oklahoma City. The city needs you.I envy your balcony(ies). You must start a container garden on them. You also need a beard and a rocking chair. You could become the neighborhood eccentric. The madman sage of Drexel.
The village has it's own sort of postwar charm, but yeah, I personally prefer this type of place. I think I'm fated to be the token eccentric just about anywhere I live; not that I'm complaining. I intend to have flower pots and well secured patio furniture out on our balcony. I have no idea why someone would want to climb stairs to steal patio furniture with little or no resale value, but ever since the mysterious theft of lisa's 10 dollar propane grill and cheapo plastic chair at her current apartment complex, I've come to grips with the fact that some people will steal anything that isn't nailed down.
Well, we're moving stuff in sort of gradually, but I think we're going to move all of the furniture and big stuff on the 24th. My parents have offered to hire movers, so we get to do the backbreaking labor of watching burly men carry sofas up stairs.
