true stories of courageous animals

update, in list form (cause I'm lazy)

-didn't get the house in the village, moving into the top floor of an awesome 1930's house on Drexel instead. (here's the ad for it, which should give you some idea what it's like:"NW OKC-historic spacious 2 bedroom, hdwd flrs, newly tiled shower, beautiful 2nd story view overlooks tree lined boulevard. $575 mo. Gay owned.") It has a huge living room, hardwood floors, a balcony, arched entryways, and It's going to look really awesome once whe get our furniture and whatnot in it. Plus our landlord/downstairs neighbor is a really nice guy. The only downside is that it doesn't have a dishwasher or a washer/dryer, but I think we'll manage. We'll be within bike distance of the fair and close to all the stuff on may and 23rd, and lisa will be about 5 minutes from Taft. It really is fantastic. I'll post pictures when I have them. I'm pretty excited.

-Celebrated my b-day with the parents last night; lisa once again proved her nerd credentials by spelling out my age in binary on the cake in candles (23, or in this case, 1011.) Also she is currently reading the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy books and has a boba fett liscese plate on the front of her car. Swoon.

-I spent today hauling 2 giant $1500 solid oak executive desks from my dad's old company down stairs into a u-yank trailer in Norman and then from the trailer into my parent's garage in Edmond with my dad, my brother, and their friend and former coworker Joe, who is the only person besides myself who I've ever met who knows why the upper peninsula is part of michigan. Also he had no trouble going backwards down stairs while holding one end of a huge oak desk even though he's blind. I was pretty impressed. The whole thing felt like a beer commercial where burly men construct a house or something and then pop open a brew, and that somehow is supposed to make you want beer. Except in this case the men were far from burly, and they were hauling desks down stairs, which is less manly than hauling them up stairs. But I do go on. I then went and signed the lease for our new place and skipped easter with my family.

This week I need to hang out with people. I miss you crazy kids!
