So I'm sitting here, in my sister and brother-in-law's kitchen in Scotland, while people shower up or others rest from the flight yesterday still. Somehow I managed to not get thrown off too far, though I didn't last time I traveled over this direction either. Sitting here and pondering while people are sleeping, I am slightly amused by a few things.
A: The washer/dryer, a single appliance, is very neat, albeit small. My sister and brother in law have named it "Miss Lippy" from fame of a certain movie. It sits and beeps endlessly at the end of a cycle, even if you start it before bed, and has no silencer for the end-of-cycle alarm.
B: The Aga, an always on stove/oven/gas-fired-hulk, is a very interesting appliance. I don't personally know how I feel about an always running appliance, but the idea is indeed unique.
C: I appreciate American sized things like refrigerators and freezers.
D: When flying in, I mused how none of the light bulbs from the states would even fit in the sockets here. :)
I'll be out taking more pictures soon. Merry Christmas everyone!
