The Simpsons is on right now but I am not watching it. It's a re-run (why a re-run this early in the season??) of the episode with guest star Fantasia, also known as American Illiterate, apparently. And then afterwards is a new episode of The War at Home. Also known as a very crappy sitcom. Speaking of crappy sitcoms, I had a chance to check out Sara Gilbert's new show, Twins, on The WB. It really sucked. All of the characters are annoying, including the one Sara plays, but Melanie Griffith, who plays the mother, just GRATES on me. At 9 I will be watching Desperate Housewives, and then, at 10:01 (Damn ABC) I'll switch over the Curb Your Enthusiasm, hoping I don't miss anything funny in the first minute. Last week Larry bought tickets from a scalper for a Jewish High Holy Days service, then got himself kicked out of the temple.
Last night I ended up having a really good time. I met Katie & Kristen at around nine, we had a couple of drinks. Then British Jo showed up, with another British girl. After we finished our drinks, we went downstairs. There were a lot of people I knew. I stayed and talked to people and danced and whatever until about 1:45, then came home.
Today has been boring, but productive. I did a ton of laundry, cleaned up, vacuumed, paid the bills, all that fun stuff. So at least I can start the week not feeling behind. Tomorrow Jen will be back from her parents' house, and she's meeting me up here after I get out of work. She's on Fall Break all week. I told her I'd take her out for a belated birthday dinner, since I didn't get to take her out on her actual birthday. I'm thinking The Penguin. Mmm...sweet potato fries.
And in sports: The Red Sox won today, so they got the AL Wild Card Playoff spot.
