Ooooh....shiny.
For someone who hardly ever wears jewelry, I certainly have a lot of it. Mostly it sits around in boxes and containers, not getting worn. Tonight Frank & went to the NoDa Art Market. A lot of the vendors were selling jewelry, the kind I like- handmade, a lot of beaded-type stuff. I looked around, and went back to the booth that caught my eye the most. I ended up buying a necklace, choker and earrings all using the same multi-colored glass beads, so the earrings could be worn with the necklace or the choker. Then as I was getting ready to pay, I noticed a pair of pink earrings with a small plastic charm dangling off each one. I said to the girl selling them, "This is going to sound like a dumb question, but are these-" and she said "Shrinky-Dinks? Yep." So, after putting them down and picking them back up about 3 times, I went ahead and threw those in, too. We also got a cool David French print, a Penguin Drive-In/Starry Night mash-up. Who says fried pickles and Van Gogh don't go together?
