I'm a Mother[Bleep]in' VIP
There's a new 70's themed club in Charlotte,called Dammit Janet (awesome name, right?) and guess who's got a pass to the VIP opening tonight? Yes, me. I won them from the Paid to Party chick's blog, and then later I found the club's Facebook group and saw they were offering them to anyone who joined. Well, it's still cool, and I definitely want to check this place out. The official Grand Opening is this weekend, but I actually have plans Friday and Saturday nights. While I normally don't go out on weeknights, this place is pretty much on the way home from the Pride meeting, so we will stop and check it out.
It's going to be a busy few days. Tonight- go home, feed the cats, run back out the door to a Pride meeting and then Dammit Janet. Tomorrow- go home, get Frank (who will have already fed the cats) and proceed directly to uptown for the Tosco Music Party Beatles Tribute, hopefully having time to stop at Taste of Charlotte for some din-din. Saturday I have a massage in the morning (I forgot to go for a few months, so I have a bunch of pre-paids built up), then later meeting with someone who is organizing a Pride event, and then going to be a judge at Miss Liaisons Pride. If anyone in the area has never been to a drag pageant, I encourage you to come check one out. Well, even if you have been to a pageant before, I still encourage you to come to one of these! Including Liaisons, there are 3 more preliminaries, plus Mr. Pride Charlotte (a Kings pageant) and the Miss Pride Charlotte finals. The schedule is here.
