Another weeknight...they all sort of blend together. Every night there's all this stuff I should be doing, but then I come home and just get all lazy and unmotivated and do none of it. I watch TV for a little bit, then play around on the computer for awhile, and then go to bed. Maybe do a logic puzzle before trying to sleep. Last night I was in the kitchen, and Zack ran over to the pantry door because he knows there are Milk Bones in there. I gave him one, of course, and called him a little biscuit-piggy. When he was sick he didn't want to eat anything at all, and now he is back to his normal self, eating and going crazy for biscuits. Mike's house is under contract, so he'll be moving soon, and then bringing Zack up with him eventually. When I gave Zack the biscuit, all of a sudden I started crying, thinking about having to say goodbye to him. It sucks, because when he was sick, there was the possibility he could die, and even though he got better, I'll still have to give him up.

My dad was here for a visit over the weekend. He stopped over Saturday night on his way to Virginia, where he is right now with my brother. We went out for dinner and shopping at Target. He bought me a new toaster oven (the one I have bakes, but doesn't just toast) and one of those bed cushion things with arms. In high school and college we used to call them "husbands" but that just doesn't seem to fit anymore, for so many reasons. :-) On Sunday we went to the IMAX movie "Roar: Lions of the Kalahari," which I had wanted to see for awhile, and I was glad we went because turns out it's only showing for another week or so. He'll be back here on his way back to FL. I am planning for us to go to the Penguin (mmm...fried pickles...mmm...sweet potato fries) and Book Buyers, the used bookstore which is also known as the place where I got Sandy!

I was also supposed to have a date Friday night, but that didn't work out. I lost over an hour of my life going to Concord Mills and waiting around, when I could have been home watching the Arrested Development marathon! I did get home in time to see the fourth episode, but that only reinforced my resentment that I missed the first three. The girl did call me on Saturday saying she lost my number, was really sorry, etc etc etc. I haven't called her back. I don't know if I will or not. Sadly, that's the closest I've even come to having a date since Jamie & I broke up. In April.

And now for sports: I found out today that the Sting traded Dawn Staley -lots of behind the scenes drama with that, I'm sure. And also, the beautiful and talented Allison Feaster is pregnant, and will be sitting out the rest of the season. So it seems that the Sting will be in all sorts of transition as they try to finish out this not-so-good season, but hopefully the trades will work out for the best in the long run.

Okay, enough of me rambling on...I feel better now. And isn't that what this whole thing is all about? I don't know.

family, wnba, weekends, zack
