Our First Olympics

Sometimes I feel like Frank & I have been together longer than we really have, but then I get a reminder that it has only been a little less than 2 years. Right now, as most non-cave-dwelling citizens of earth are aware, the Olympics are taking place in China. This is the first Olympic games that have happened since I've met Frank. He claimed to hate the Olympics. I, for some unknown reason, love them. So over the weekend, every time I had the chance I was switching the TV back to NBC or Universal HD (which we didn't used to get, but now we do, I guess it's because of the Olympics) to see what was being shown. By the end of the weekend, he was watching the swimming relays finals and gasping when a US gymnast fell back as she dismounted from the uneven bars. So, first I got him to like baseball...now the Olympics....heh heh heh heh heh (evil laugh).

Speaking of baseball, we did also watch a couple of Red Sox games over the weekend. One of them I found by accident when I was randomly scrolling through the channel guide. Who knew having WGN on cable would be useful for once? When the Red Sox are playing the Chicago White Sox, it is. But it wasn't HD, so I've gotten spoiled watching most of the games on channels we get in HD, like Fox, ESPN and TBS.

olympics, tv, red sox, frank
