Sunday nights suck. Truly. It's after 11 and I'm not tired at all. I really tried not to take a nap today, but the bed was so comfy and Captain Crunch was so cute laying there with us. So, I might as well do a quick weekend re-cap to kill some time.
Friday- stayed in, ate leftovers, watched Big Redneck Wedding. (don't worry, it picks up from here)
Saturday- I was supposed to go to watch the Syracuse-Pitt game at Fox & Hound Uptown, and at the last minute decided to blow it off and instead went shopping at The Bag Lady. I drove back towards home, had lunch with Frank, went shopping at the Hallmark store, bought Girl Scout cookies, went home to make some birthday cards. That night we went down to Rock Hill for a belated b-day dinner for
chavah and
fairydusted27 at a Thai restaurant. I gave them gifts I'd purchased at The Bag Lady, since that store has so much stuff they would love. There was a whole big group of people, the service was painfully slow (there seemed to be one waitress for the entire restaurant...on a Saturday night), and I never got my dinner. I just shared Frank's food, which was fine, we still ended up with leftovers. It was fun, though. We went home, I finished up and posted my
101 Things in 1001 Days list.
Sunday (today)- Went to the Southern Home & Spring Show, your typical home & garden expo. One of the special guest speakers was Wanda Urbanska, from the PBS TV show
Simple Living with Wanda Urbanska. She gave a presentation about the home she recently bought and"green remodeled." I also bought a couple of her books and had her sign them (I am a sucker for signed books!), and got to chat for a few minutes. She is so nice. Afterwards we went shopping for food, and I went back to the Bag Lady for another gift, a book about raising an "organic baby" for my friend Leigh who just had a baby. I don't know if she's into the whole green/organic thing, but even if she's not, the book still has plenty of useful information, plus ingredients to avoid in food, cleaning products, toys, etc. I will give her a basket of natural cleaning & baby care stuff, plus the book. Then we came home and lazed around- I didn't even do laundry! We ate leftovers, watched TV, Frank didn't feel well, so he's already in bed, and I'm here.
I am incredibly thirsty right now, but I hate drinking before I go to bed, and then having to wake up to pee. Waaahhh!
