*waves* I'm in NYC too!! the rain sucked..... took me 2 1/2 hrs to get in. Not near the tornado though.

Not a pipe bomb, from what I heard. A steam pipe build up condensation and exploded under the street near Grand Central Terminal and shot plumes of steam into the sky stories high.

There was a horrid rain storm yesterday and it hit Long Island (one town called Islip Terrace) with an F1 Tornado.
