Now that I actually have some free time to update this thing, I think I will.
Life has been pretty pleasant lately, despite a crazy end of the fall semester... which culminated in a deranged party filled with pizza, beer, cider and egg nog & brandy... No wonder I felt so terrible in the morning.
Last winter Frank had some people over at his apartment. At one point I was walking around with an entire pizza in my hand, folded in half and it was dripping grease everywhere and this girl started yelling at me about it. Later on I decided to sleep on Frank's floor, because I wasn't in any state to care about where I was sleeping and the same girl came in and started yelling at me about that. Eventually she dragged me out of the room by my ankles with permission from Frank. The rest of the night I stayed up watching movies loudly and eating all of the food in the apartment. She is now dating my friend and was giving me beers all night at Paul's. Crazy
I actually got to experiance touring, however short it was, this year. Met some crazy people, slept on some gnarly floors and wandered around Minneapolis, experianced the Dipping Station in Milwaukee and played with some guy that lived with Wesley Willis for a while and might have actually been more damaged. Apparently there is actually a genre of music called Violence.
This summer Elephant Gun is going out west with Bust!, 28 days, should be a blast.
Speaking of bands. Giant Lakes is playing a show with the Sass Dragons, the Brokedowns and Stnnng 12/20, tonight, depending on the way you look at it, at the Gasthaus. I'm glad it's back.
2 more semesters of school and I am done. Although I'll most likely go back to get a teaching degree as well.
This summer, if we don't tour, I am going to work in an iron mine in Marquette, Michigan, $75/hour.
Speaking of the holidays, I have almost all of my christmas shopping done. I could only really afford stuff for my family this year, but I'll come up with something for friends... hopefully.
