Stinky Dryer Kind of Solved...
Maintenance returned this morning, and after some fancy wet-vac maneuvers, a giant bird nest complete with rotting bird and eggs was fished out of the exhaust vent. Problem solved.
Not quite; how the hell do you get the smell out once and for all? I just put ten dryer sheets along with a load of wet cleaning towels to get rid of the smell, and it's not going anywhere. If anything, it's getting even worse. If I owned this property, I would pay for a complete replacement of the vents and dryer, but seeming as I don't, I have no idea what to do. I don't want to get West Nile Virus just because I had to take a shower in my bathroom.
