Recurring strange dream... ^^;
I've been having a recurring dream lately... perhaps one of my readers could help me decipher it. You see, it begins with Matron taking pictures of me outside at the new house near some bushes. (Neither she nor I have seen it, of course, so this could be all wrong). She goes inside for something and I start to look around. I wander into the bushes and rather than finding the side of the house the bush is up against... I find a calm, lush forest clearing with a small pond.
As I walk closer a figure on the other side of the pond approaches the water and kneels down to drink a handful. It's tall and very lean, with a dark tattoo across its chest and stomach, and a head of incredibly voluminous blonde curls, wild and left to roam, that are long enough to drag on the ground when he stands. He has a bow and arrow strapped to his back and wears only a long, simply decorated loincloth. I walk closer as he (I assume, if it is brazen enough to walk about shirtless and it had no breasts, besides) stands up and see that his ears are... wings! Soft, downy little wings on the sides of his head! And then he catches my eye and we just stand there, silent. His face is so incredibly beautiful. He has a fierce, wild look to his eyes, but his mouth is so childlike and pouty. We're there long enough for the sunbeams to shift through the branches, and finally I smile politely and reach out a hand. He steps back and before I can do anything, he changes shape, into a graceful tawny deer with these incredible antlers! The deer flicks an ear and then turns and leaps away, quick as can be. I shrug and walk back out to where I was, assuming the same position Matron had put me in. And none too soon, because the second I get back into place she comes back outside.

That night, I sneak outside and return to the bush, running inside full throttle. Unfortunately, this time I DO find the side of the house... with my face. ~_~ THUD!
And with that very painful stimulus, I wake up. I've had the dream for several nights now. I don't find myself attracted to the creature per se, but I feel very calm around it, and very peaceful. Its proportions are so thin and long and ethereal... I think he represents a warrior's spirit. There was ferocity in that childish face, I'm sure. But I don't know what to think. A vision of things to come, perhaps? No... I doubt Matron could find a doll that looked that strange. Maybe there are fairies living up in our yard, waiting for us and our eleventyseven cats.
