[ edge of town? gokudera's house is on the edge of town! he was going to head out to get some groceries, but... he heard squalo even without the journals. So he takes a detour, because hey. squalo's the only varia he even somewhat gets along with. (aka, the only one who does not want him dead) ]

[ Gokudera isn't going to be some quiet little mouse. As soon as he's slashed at he lights his ring, jamming it into one of the boxes hanging on his belt, and then lifts the canon to point it at Squalo. ]

[ Gokudera's not seeing it as picking a fight, as his promise was. He thinks this is all out of self-defense. His shoulders tense and he moves his feet into a more defensive stance, ready to react in case Squalo pulls another move. ]
