[The Varia assassin is livid he was captured. Despite the haze of unnamed drugs and recent memory loss clouding his mind, Squalo is pretty sure he at least put up a fight. What he is not sure about is what hurts more: the blow to his pride that he obviously lost to the Malnosso or his new injuries. Probably his pride.
Compared to others that have been taken, Squalo is not so bad off. He is roughed up and a little bloody, groggy and his head hurts like hell, but so far he's been able to move under his own power. As he crosses the plaza on his way home, Squalo is trying for all the world to if not hide then ignore the fact that he is walking with a slight graze in his step.]
